Part time position (up to 30-35 hr/week) available for retail sales employee. In this position you will be responsible for working with walk-in, repeat,.and many high-end customers. Must be comfortable talking with customers and making recommendations. Closers preferred. Results-oriented, strong communication skills, excellent customer service skills, a consistent work ethic and willingness to learn are required for this position. Must be able to multi-task and work in a team-friendly environment. Prior retail, sales or bakery experience is preferred, but not required. Some light cleaning/closing duties apply. Must be able to consistently work Wed-Sat 10am-6pm.
Specifically:
- Provide prompt, efficient and courteous customer service
- Assist customers with dessert selections. Need the ability to learn and explain the desserts, ingredients, and make recommendations. Tips will be commensurate with the ability to service the customer.
- Assist customers with custom (non-wedding cake) orders. Provide cake options - cake flavors, icings, fillings - as well as help size the appropriate cake for the occasion, and take/place the order.
- Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in the bakery.
- Ring customer sales on a point of sale register
- Receive cash from customers and provide correct change
- Perform regular cleaning activities - Sweep and mop, Windex windows, take out trash, etc.

Physical Considerations
All our bakery positions require constant standing, bending, and reaching. Frequent lifting of 10 pounds and greater as well as occasional lifting of up to 40-50 pounds is required.
